Some people who don’t live in City of Myrtle Beach limits have frequently spoken up about wanting to enjoy the same privileges as those who live within limits when it comes to beach parking.
Talks continued on the matter during Horry County Council’s regular meeting. Chairman Mark Lazarus brought some new ideas to the table.
He talked about looking into a sticker program for people in the unincorporated areas of the county so that they would be able to park in the metered parking spaces and the ‘Golden Mile’ area in Myrtle Beach.
Lazarus also brought up the idea of creating a parking task force or committee that would be in charge of looking into solutions.
He said he will bring these ideas up at the next Coastal Alliance meeting.
