Officials are warning beachgoers not to go swimming after issuing a warning Saturday afternoon.

According to the Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue Facebook page, The City of Myrtle Beach issued a Double Red Flag warning for the rest of the day.

This means no one should swim in the waters due to extreme conditions.

The warning was issued due to the strong currents and a number of ocean related incidents over the last few days.

Remember to always check with lifeguards and posted warning before going swimming.
