MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach residents paid tribute to the victims of the Parkland, Florida, shooting Friday night.

About a dozen people gathered in Valor Park in the Market Common for a candlelight vigil to show solidarity with the grieving families and communities.

“That could be anywhere in the United States and it is shown time and time again that it happens anywhere and everywhere in this country unfortunately,” said Lorraine Woodward, who helped organize the vigil.

The group Grand Strand Action Together hosted the vigil.
