A Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue lieutenant is expected to recover after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Lt. Michael Beck suffered a severe cardiac event while fighting a structure fire around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to a video posted to the department’s Facebook page.
“Due to the fast action of on scene crews and emergency care from Grand Strand Medical Center, Michael was brought back to life,” text from the video reads.
Beck and his wife thanked first responders in the video, with Beck saying he was comforted by knowing he was never left alone.
Text from the video also says Beck is expected to make a full recovery with no limitations.
