The left over 5 million will go towards paying debt services like, beach re-nourishment, which cost $135,000, and the 4th Avenue outfall project who’s price tag is $320,000.  Some money will go towards an international student outreach program, and more than half a million to convention center marketing.

The police department also needing funding to keep the ocean front safe.

They’re estimated to get a little more than 3 million dollars for water front patrol and beach patrol.

“I don’t have a hard number for the beach patrol and ocean front district because we really wont know what those revenues are until the last quarter and get the final collection,” said Michael Price, the financial analyst for the City of Myrtle Beach.

The city says they will notify the agencies of their award and hope to have them paid by June 30th.
