Myrtle Beach International Airport has reached another major milestone.
Next year, airlines serving MYR will offer non-stop air service to and from 50 markets around the United States and Canada, including new Spirit routes to Houston, Kansas City, and Indianapolis.
Starting May 3 MYR will also have a daily non-stop flight to Dallas-Fort Worth on American Airlines. The seasonal service will run from May to October.
“When now you know you can get somewhere in two hours, you can get to Myrtle Beach in two hours, or fly from Myrtle beach to somewhere else and get there in two hours, you just bought a whole additional day of vacation or business,” said Kirk Lovell, Director of Air Service and Business Development at MYR. “So, nonstop markets, we hope to keep growing them and keep adding them.”
The Director of Airports says this growth is unprecedented and is happening year-round. He says demand for the Grand Strand and Myrtle Beach continues to grow.
