Firefighters from multiple departments are on the scene of a house fire in Murrells Inlet.
Midway Fire Marshal Mark Nugent tells us that firefighters with Midway Fire are assisting the Murrells Inlet Garden City Fire Department in combating the blaze. He says the fire is believed to have started in the garage before spreading to the home on Highway 17 Business.
Capt. Tom Zimpleman, with Murrells Inlet-Garden City Fire, said he believed the weekend house fire began in a shed. Its believed to be an accidental fire started by a propane burner. No injuries have been reported.
