Multiple crews assist with water rescue evacuations in Loris

LORIS, SC (WBTW) – Crews assist with multiple water rescue evacuations in the City of Loris.

Lt. Robert Rudelitch with the Loris Fire Department says, their volunteers along with Loris Fire Department units, Horry County Fire Rescue and the South Carolina National Guard assist with the rescues. The Loris Police Department and Public Works also assist.

There is an emergency shelter is at Loris Public Safety Building.

We do not know the condition of any of those rescued yet. Stick with News13 as we learn more.
