A motorcycle driver died in a crash Saturday night in Horry County.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2013 Harley-Davidson was traveling west on Highway 544 near Beaver Run Boulevard.
They ran off the road at around 10 p.m. Saturday and hit a utility pole. The driver was not wearing a helmet.
They were taken to the hospital where they later died. Horry County deputy coroner Michelle McSpadden identified the victim as 51-year-old John Allen of Conway.
SC Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
