CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – The two people accused in the disappearance of Heather Elvis were back in court Monday.

Sidney and Tammy Moorer appeared in a Conway courtroom Monday morning for a warrant claiming false statements were filed on a Medicaid form.

The prosecution claimed the couple misrepresented their income. Prosecutors then filed a motion to obtain handwriting samples from the Moorers.

Sidney Moorer did not have an attorney there on his behalf and the court had to appoint public defender James Galmore for this hearing.

The juge granted the motion and the Moorers have 30 days to give handwriting samples.
