CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – The Horry County Police Department arrested a woman after a 3-year-old boy was found alone near a Horry County roadway this past weekend.
According to a press release, Brooke Carr, 27, of Longs, is charged with unlawful neglect of a child or helpless person by legal custodian, in connection with this case.
The child was child found wandering alone on Highway 9 near Marlowe Circle in the Longs area around 7:30 pm Saturday.
HCPD updated at around 10:30 a.m. Sunday that the boy had been identified and his parents located.
As of this time, the child remains in the custody of the South Carolina Department of Social Services.
