Myrtle Beach Fire Department crews responded to a gas leak on Ocean Boulevard on Thursday.

Lt. Jonathan Evans, the department’s Public Education Officer, says crews responded to the area of 14th Ave N and Ocean Blvd. for a gas leak shortly before 1 p.m. A small service line had been cut during construction, which caused the leak.

Evans also says SCE&G crews clamped the cut line and stopped the leak. There were no injuries.
