One person has died after a hit and run in Georgetown County.
According to Georgetown County Coroner Kenny Johnson, the hit and run happened on Friday night. A man was riding his bicycle and was hit from behind. He died at the scene.
Johnson identified the man as 18-year-old David Anderson, of Georgetown. Johnson said the scene of the crash was not far from where Anderson lived.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol Cad reports the fatal collision happened in the area of Mt. Zion Avenue and Powell Road around 8:29 p.m. on Friday.
SCHP is investigating, Johnson also says.
