Bond was denied Thursday for a man accused of causing a crash that killed three people in Myrtle Beach.

Garth Treadway, 52, of Conway, faces several charges in connection to the accident – including three counts of felony DUI resulting in death and hit and run. According to the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office, the judge found Treadway to be a danger to the community and a flight risk during his hearing Thursday.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department claims Treadway caused a crash on May 4 that involved several vehicles along Robert Grissom Parkway and Executive Avenue.

Nicolas Norris, Kristie Drewes, and Gulnoza Tashmatova died, according to the Horry County Coroner’s Office.

Officers say prior to the crash, Treadway had just wrecked on Pine Island Road and was trying to get away. Myrtle Beach police say alcohol and speed were contributing factors for the deadly crash on Robert Grissom Parkway.
