This time every year, Daved Kinard with Daisy Fair Flowers carefully crafts two little Christmas trees to put on the graves of “Baby Horry” and “Baby Grace” at the Hillcrest cemetery.
“It just tugs on my heart, it’s the least I can do for these children, we sort of adopted their two graves, every year at Christmas we make sure they have a Christmas Tree,” said Kinard
Baby Horry was found dead in a wooded area in 2008, and Baby Grace was found dead in a creek in 2015. Her mother was charged with homicide.
“No child deserves that, As long as I’m here, we’ll always do it,” said Kinard
The annual memorial service for the babies will be held at Hillcrest on Monday evening.
