LONGS, SC (WBTW) – A fatal crash has been reported in the Longs area on Highway 9, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. Thursday. A pickup truck struck a moped from behind while both vehicles were traveling northbound.
The driver of the moped died in the crash. The Horry County coroner’s office identified the victim as 60-year-old Tony Holmes, of Little River.
No charges have been filed at this time. This crash is still under investigation by South Carolina Highway Patrol.
