MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A female correctional officer at the Myrtle Beach jail has filed a lawsuit against a male state trooper and the South Carolina Department of Public Safety.
The jail worker accuses Trooper Christopher Brigham, of Horry County, of touching her breast with a cell phone when he brought a prisoner to the jail.
The suit says the alleged touching happened in August of 2016. The lawsuit claims the woman, only referred to as “Jane Doe,” suffered psychological injuries and lost time from work.
Brigham denies the allegation. In court papers, Brigham and the agency ask that the lawsuit be dismissed.
