Horry County’s “Community Law Enforcement Appreciation Committee,” along with other law enforcement agencies, helped kids at Myrtle Beach Elementary School on Wednesday.
The “Backpack Buddies” program provides meals to students who may not have enough to eat.
They also hosted a traditional Thanksgiving feast for the children.
“Now we’re at Thanksgiving being able to give back to our community through a partnership that’s going to allow families to have meals out in the community at the same time that we provide resources here at school,” Michelle Green-Graham, the principal of Myrtle Beach Elementary School.
In addition to law enforcement and local restaurants, State Representative Heather Ammons Crawford and State Senator Luke Rankin were among those who contributed.
