The property that was once Hard Rock Park and then Freestyle Music Park apparently has a new owner, according to Horry County records.

Online land records for the county show a transfer from seller FPI US LLC to FTPP BISHOP PARKWAY LLC. The transfer date was December 28, 2018. The new owner apparently paid $3,545,000 for the property of approximately 125.14 acres.

FTPP BISHOP PARKWAY LLC was registered with the South Carolina Secretary of State’s office on October 16, 2018, according to that office’s online records. The registered agent for the LLC is Robert S. Guyton of Myrtle Beach. Robert “Shep” Guyton is an attorney with an office on Oleander Drive in Myrtle Beach.

FTTP BISHOP PARKWAY LLC has a listed address as a Myrtle Beach post office box.

Hard Rock Park had a grand opening on May 9, 2008 – an event WBTW News13 covered with live reports during newscasts that day. Another grand opening on June 2, 2008 included a concert by the Eagles. By the end of September 2008 entities within the investment and ownership of the park had filed for bankruptcy.

By the end of February 2009, Hard Rock Park had been sold to FPI MB LLC in bankruptcy court in Delaware. In early March of 2009 the new owners announced the park’s new name would be Freestyle Music Park. It operated for a season but never reopened. In August of 2010 the property mortgage holder filed a foreclosure suit against the park.
