In the midst of recovery from Hurricane Florence, homeowners across Horry County are now prepping for another storm, as Hurricane Matthew is expected to impact the Carolina’s on Thursday.
But, some homeowners in the Savannah Bluff neighborhood say they’re not worried about the heavy rains it could bring.
“I’ve lost my home so many times, if it goes up a few inches so be it.” said homeowner, Lisa Saunders.
Lisa Saunders and her husband moved into the Savannah Bluff Neighborhood in the early 80’s, and have had to gut their home seven times from storms.
“Everything is gone except for my refrigerator magnets and there’s this much mold on it.” Saunders said.
The Horry County Emergency Center is staying at OPCON 4 until further notice, their main concern is with debris leftover from Florence, and how Michael could make things worse.
