Hundreds of women came together at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center for the “Women’s Leadership Conference.”
Like the title suggests, the conference is a celebration of women and their professional and personal accomplishments.
The two-day event features a variety of speakers focusing on topics like education, development, business, and networking.
It’s hosted by women in philanthropy and leadership for Coastal Carolina University.
One of the big themes of the conference was teaching women how to be authentic.
“The power of being real or authentic is really where the source of our power as women comes from. But in order to get there, we have to step into these big girl shoes of courage to be able to be confident in revealing that to other people,” said Dr. Lori Stevic-Rust, a psychologist and author.
This is the ninth year of the women’s leadership conference.
Since 2011, 41 women have been recognized for their achievements with the “Celebration of Inspiring Women” award.
