HORRY COUNTY, SC (WBTW)- Fifteenth circuit solicitor Jimmy Richardson filed a petition to close Remedies Bar and Grill, Klocker’s, and Audry’s Lounge.
News 13 went to Audry’s Lounge, and no one was there. Klocker’s and Remedies Bar and Grill did not want to comment.
According to court documents, three establishments had one thing in common, “The general reputation for repeated disturbance of the peace.” A state statute puts public nuisances on the solicitor’s desk, and when it comes to Klockers, Remedies, and Audry’s Lounge, the main piece of evidence is the number of police calls to each location.
“Police can’t even really do their job for constantly having to go to this establishment and that’s what they’ve brought to us here,” said Solicitor Jimmy Richardson.
At Audry’s, court documents show two people have been murdered and there have been multiple complaints about noise.
Documents say the nightclub is operated out of a wooden shed next to a home in Longs and has never had a permit or business license. One of the owners, Okera Uzoma has plead guilty twice to operating without a business license.

Jason Klocker is the owner of both Remedies and Klocker’s which shares a back parking lot.
According to court documents police responded to multiple calls for fights, assaults, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and gunfire. On April 28th, a man was shot three times in the abdomen and in the hand. The shooting suspect was arrested and found with marijuana and heroin.
“We put the people on notice and give them an opportunity to try to fix whatever is causing the police to go over and over and over again,” said Richardson.
Only a petition has been filed. The owners will go before a judge and, depending on each business’ record, there could be some negotiating. The maximum length a judge can close a business is one year.
