As the semester comes to a close, the school districts are also getting their report cards from the state.
According to SCReportCards.com, 63% of Horry County schools rated “good” or “excellent” overall. This is the first release of overall ratings since 2014 when standardized assessments and accountability requirements were being changed.
Overall, across the state, 15% of schools were rated “excellent”, 20% received a rating of “good”, 35% were “average”, 18% “below average” and 8% were deemed “unsatisfactory”.
No schools in Horry County received an “unsatisfactory” rating.
