Horry County has declared a state of emergency as officials prepare for the impacts from Hurricane Florence, according to a press release Sunday. 

Governor Henry McMaster declared a state of emergency for all of South Carolina on Saturday, Governor Roy Cooper did the same for North Carolina Friday. 

Myrtle Beach and Conway have both also declared a state of emergency. North Myrtle Beach will have an emergency session Monday to discuss a similar declaration. 

Horry County and State Emergency Management have also moved to OPCON 3 ahead of the storm.
