Students and staff at Saint James Middle School will place a time capsule inside one of the schools walls Friday morning.
This time capsule will replace one opened in August from the school’s inaugural year. The original time capsule included things like rosters, photos, detention slips and attendance sheets.
“Seeing that the school’s motto is inspiring a generation and knowing it was going to be the 30th birthday, those things seemed to fit together for, let’s celebrate what’s so special about this place” Saint James Middle School principal Olga Toggas said. “Some of the things that were so special 30 years ago, are still those same things.”
They will keep all of the items from the original time capsule and include letters from student council, photos, the school’s new logo and updated rosters, attendance sheets and award certificates.
