Horry County groups feeding the hungry for Christmas

“Samaritans Feet” and other groups are looking to make Christmas brighter for people in Horry County.

They will be providing a free Christmas dinner on Tuesday from noon until 2 at the St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Myrtle Beach. This is the 30th year they have held this Christmas day meal.

“If you’re stuck at home we’re happy to bring the joy to you.” Said Cindra Marshall, one of the project’s volunteers. “And if you want to come join us and are able to come join us please come because on Christmas you don’t want to be alone, you want to be with others.”

“Samaritans Feet” will also be giving shoes and clothing to those in need at this event.

If you wish to donate you can drop off new and gently used clothing at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church on Highway 17 Bypass. You can also make donations at any Coldwell Banker Real Estate office or Carolina Pines Realty office.

Other Christmas dinner events will be held at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet at noon, Flagpatch Apostolic Holiness Church in Loris from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
