Horry County Fire, other fire crews respond to 2-alarm structure fire at Ocean Lakes Campground

Fire crews from several departments are responding to a structure fire at Ocean Lakes Campground.

According to Chief John Fowler, with Horry County Fire Rescue, a heavily involved second alarm fire was reported at the campground around 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday and one residential structure is reportedly burning with heavy fire. 

Surfside Beach Fire, Myrtle Beach Fire, and Murrells Inlet-Garden City Fire Rescue crews were called in to assist with the fire, Fowler says. No injuries are reported at this time. 

A tweet from HCFR says the structure fire is at 6001 S. Kings Highway. 

One structure sustained heavy fire damage, one structure sustained significant damages, and seven surrounding structures sustained heat damage, according to another tweet from HCFR. 

HCFR fire investigators are on scene.
