CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – Horry County Council Chairman Johnny Gardner announced on Wednesday that Steve Gosnell will serve as the interim administrator for the government, effective April 18.
Gosnell is a professional engineer, most recently serving as the assistant county administrator for the infrastructure and regulation division.
Gosnell has been with the county for 26 years and previously acted as the interim administrator in 2011.
Chairman Johnny Gardner said, “As a council, we feel confident that Mr. Gosnell will lead the organization and serve the citizens of Horry County well as we prepare to search for a new administrator.”
Council approved a separation package for administrator Chris Eldridge on Tuesday.
