More than 30 Horry County band students from several local schools are stuck waiting at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
Chaperon, Michael Campbell says the group has been waiting more than 15 hours after confusion with American Airlines.
Campbell says the group is heading to China to perform at a festival with other band students.
“We feel really really exhausted and betrayed, they won’t even tell us the name of the supervisor or talk to us at all, said Campbell. “Some of the kids are playing their instruments and just stretched out on the floor.”
He says they will be sleeping at the airport Saturday night, and hope to speak with a supervisor in the morning.
