You can help a local animal shelter by recycling your sandbags.
Goode Fence of Myrtle Beach is taking old sandbags and donating $1.50 for each one they get.
The donation will get split between the Grand Strand Humane Society, The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach, and Waccamaw Animal Rescue Mission.
“There wasn’t much we could do going into the storm because of the evacuation and all of that,” said Todd Friedman, president of Goode Fence, “but we knew there was a way to give back to the community, and we just felt like it would be a win win win situation for everyone.”
Goode Fence can actually use those donated sandbags. they plan to make a maximum donation of $3,000, but depending on how many bags they get that amount could go up.
Goode Fence can be found at 6572, Robert M Grissom Pkwy unit 346, in Myrtle Beach.
