GALIVANTS FERRY, SC (WBTW) – A hazmat team has been called to the scene of an overturned tanker in Galivants Ferry Tuesday morning.
According to a tweet from Horry County Fire Rescue, the tractor-trailer overturned near Gerald Farm Road and Barnhill Road just before 8 a.m. Tuesday. While no injuries have been reported, crews did request the assistance of a hazmat team due to the fuel leak.

It’s unknown at this time what caused the 18-wheeler to overturn.
Drivers are asked to avoid Gerald Farm Road and Barnhill Road as crews work to clear the scene.
