MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The City of Myrtle Beach says a $50,000 project aims to make the sidewalks safer for walkers and joggers.
A contractor is currently grinding down raised edges and trip hazards on sidewalks around the city, according to a Facebook post from city officials. A crew from American Grinding Company is working on Broadway Street at Fifth Avenue North Monday morning.
Myrtle Beach budgets about $50,000 per year to keep sidewalks safe. The current project started in The Market Common in November, officials say.
