A Grand Strand restaurant put a unique spin on “Giving Tuesday.”
Johnny D’s hosted a pancake eating contest.
Each contestant had to raise $200 to participate.
“We had seven participants, and everyone had to raise at least $200 in pledges in order to participate and we had a great prize,” said Jamie Sullivan, Program Coordinator for SOS Healthcare. “And we had a winner who managed to eat nine pancakes in five minutes.”
Money raised will support SOS Healthcare’s programs for individuals with autism and IDS.
