Grand Strand Humane Society’s Board of Directors has announced the name of the shelter’s new executive director.
A press release says Jessica Wnuk will now be the executive director for the shelter. Wnuk has been an employee of GSHS since 2012. In 2015, Wnuk was promoted to Director of Operations. In 2017, Wnuk became the shelter’s Director of Community Outreach and Lifesaving.
The press release also says Wnuk has contributed to the shelter’s foster care program, including transporting animals to out-of-state rescues. Over the foster program’s four years, nearly 800 pets have been transported to rescues across the country.
“We welcome Jessica’s progressive vision for the future of Grand Strand Humane Society and look forward to the new possibilities to come,” the release states.
