MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) said they’re sponsoring a Global Entry mobile interview process starting on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in the airport business center located on the first floor of the terminal.

Horry County Department of Airports said in a press release that the Global Entry is a CBP Trusted Traveler program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. The department said although the program is intended for frequent international travelers, there is no minimum number of trips necessary to qualify for the program.

The program is designed to enable efficient travel, and to provide added security for international travelers, the Horry County Department of Airports said. Global Entry members are still subject to the same laws and regulations as other travelers, and may be selected for further examination at any time when entering the United States.

Global Entry members are also eligible to participate in the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) PreCheck program which expedites screening through TSA checkpoints at participating airports.

Those interested in participating in the upcoming interview process must apply and be conditionally approved prior to the start of the interviews. To submit an application, visit the Global Entry website and click “Apply Now.”
