Georgetown County moves to OPCON 2 as crews prepare ahead of anticipated flooding, according to a press release Saturday.
Many areas of the county are expecting to see significant impact from river flooding, floodwaters could reach as high as 10 feet, the release says.
Residents in low-lying areas near the Waccamaw and Pee Dee Rivers should be prepared to evacuate.
Residents may be isolated as floodwaters may affect roadways. Emergency vehicles may not be able to reach flooded areas because of this.
Issues with electricity and water outages are also likely.
