GEORGETOWN, SC (WBTW) – An inmate of the Georgetown County Detention Center has died after being hospitalized for injuries.
According to the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, the inmate was taken to the hospital after corrections officers discovered his condition on December 6. The inmate later died on Monday.
Sheriff Weaver has contacted SLED to investigate the incident.
