Midway Firefighters responded to a working fire at a large home in the De Bordieu community of Georgetown County.
Midway Fire Rescue Fire Marshal Mark Nugent tells us the fire was at 228 Ballyhoo Street.
According to the Midway Fire Rescue Twitter, the fire was on the second floor of the house. 14 people were in the home and all were accounted for with no injuries. One firefighter is being treated for a “heat related injury.”
Georgetown County Fire Department Assistant Chief Tony Hucks tells us units from Georgetown County are assisting with the fire.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
