Bikers from all over the country are flocking to the Myrtle Beach area as the fall Harley Bike Week is officially underway.
They’re kicking the week off at Boardwalk Billy’s in North Myrtle Beach.
There are two yearly Myrtle Beach bike week rallies along the Grand Strand.
The spring event is much larger and is expected to draw about 275,000 people this May, but, this week’s rally is bringing in about 25,000 people.
Even though some of the area is still feeling effects from Hurricane Florence, bikers say rallies help boost the economy and they wouldn’t miss getting together with their biker family.
“It feels good to have it going on and if we can help anybody we’ll help them,” says participant Garry Daddario. “We’ve got friends down here from Pennsylvania, New York, and you meet people from all over the United States.”
