PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WBTW) – Midway Fire Rescue says crews have a fire in Pawleys Island under control.
According to a tweet from the department, crews are on scene at the water and sewer plant at 464 Clearwater Drive “for an unknown explosion and fire.” Officials say there are no structures burning at the moment, but a debris fire caused Hazmat crews to respond just after 10 a.m.
Fire officials say the fire is under control and, after further investigation, the blaze does not involve hazardous materials.
