SURFSIDE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Dozens of people enjoy some music in the shade in the center of town.

“Sunday Serenades” is a series of outdoor concerts during the summer in Surfside. Sunday’s concert was the second of 2018 in Passive Park, which is on the corner of Surfside and Willow drives.

It’s the tenth year of the Sunday concert series, when four local musicians perform and entertain people each sunny, summer afternoon.

“It’s dog-friendly,” said Glenn “Hounddog” Hanson, who founded “Sunday Serenades.” “They bring their coolers. It’s all so much cooler under these live oak trees and nice breeze coming off the ocean. So it’s just a great place.”

“Sunday Serenades” are from 2 to 5 on Sunday afternoons, depending on the weather, until the end of September.
