MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Broadway at the Beach will add new attractions and restaurants this summer.

In a press release Tuesday, it was announced that Kentucky Mist Distillery and Sweet South Popcorn specialty shops are the newest additions to the Broadway at the Beach family. The Kentucky Mist Distillery is now open in the New England Fishing Village West area and features moonshine, along with other spirits, made using whole fruit for the most genuine taste. Sweet South Popcorn will offer kettle corn popcorn in a variety of flavors, along with other refreshments and beverages, and will open in the Mediterranean Village area.

Also joining Broadway at the Beach is The Grumpy Monk. This will be the third location for the restaurant – known for its fresh sushi, quality food and wide selection of craft beers which includes 10 rotating taps from beers brewed around the Carolinas. The Broadway at the Beach location will also include a “bottle shop” featuring unique, hard to find craft beer offerings from throughout the United States. Serving lunch and dinner, The Grumpy Monk will also feature a daily happy hour along with a variety of weekly promotions and events.

The Pavilion Park West and Pavilion Park Central locations are undergoing renovations, including the addition of new rides and experiences, the release says. Pavilion Park West welcomes the Broadway 360 Observation Wheel. This new observation wheel stands 156 feet in the air and features 36 gondolas accommodating up to six riders and will offer guests a view of the entire attraction. At Pavilion Park Central, The Beast and Tsunami will make their debut. The Beast is the largest pendulum ride in the United States, swinging 120 degrees, experiencing incredible speeds and zero gravity at more than 155 feet high.
