GEORGETOWN, SC (WBTW) – A developer trying to build 60 condo units in Murrells Inlet is slowing down its plans.

The Georgetown County Planning Commission accepted a deferral of the proposal Thursday afternoon.

Georgetown County councilman John Thomas says the developer did not include necessary letters for utilities. Thomas also says the developer has not gotten approval to use Bandage Court as the entrance to the condo complex.

About 100 residents met in Murrells Inlet on Feb. 8 to learn about the plan.

Many at that meeting said the condo development would be too big and create too much traffic in residential areas around Murrells Inlet Road.
