SURFSIDE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Crews are working to repair a water main break in Surfside Beach.

According to Neeraj Patel, Chief of Field Operations with Grand Strand Water and Sewer, the water main break happened around 11:30 a.m. on Monday after a contractor reportedly damaged the line.

The leak was reportedly isolated Monday afternoon and crews are making repairs.

Those between Surfside Drive and 5th Avenue North and between the ocean and Dogwood Dr. may have seen decreased water pressure.
