Crews work to repair water main break in Surfside Beach

SURFSIDE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Crews are working to repair a water main break in Surfside Beach.

According to Neeraj Patel, Chief of Field Operations with Grand Strand Water and Sewer, the water main break happened around 11:30 a.m. on Monday after a contractor reportedly damaged the line.

The leak was reportedly isolated Monday afternoon and crews are making repairs.

Those between Surfside Drive and 5^th Avenue North and between the ocean and Dogwood Dr. may have seen decreased water pressure.
