Crews responded to a porch fire in the Socastee area on Friday evening.
According to Horry County Fire Rescue Battalion Chief John Fowler, the fire was on a porch in the area of Terri Drive and Socastee Blvd and had extended into a house. The fire was called in around 7:40 p.m.
The fire is reported to be under control as of about 8 p.m. and there have been no reported injuries.
