MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Several musicians and bands performed on Saturday, but an unusual pair took the stage at the Carolina Country Music Festival.

Brian Galletto and Natalie (Starkweather) Galletto are from Albion, New York, and have been together for more than five years. They both love country music and visiting Myrtle Beach, so the Carolina Country Music Festival was a natural choice for where they wanted to take their next step in life.

Brian says he first talked to Natalie about six years ago.

“She commented on one of my aunt’s Facebook posts,” said Brian Galletto. “So I said, ‘Hey aunt Sal, who’s this girl Natalie? I want to meet her.’ So a week or two went by and (I heard) nothing from my aunt. So I took it upon myself to (instant message) her.”

The two fell in love and shared a bond over country music.

“It’s awesome,” Brian Galletto said. “Country is country, no matter where you are.”

“But this is awesome here,” said Natalie Galletto.

After a three-and-a-half year engagement, Brian and Natalie decided to get married at CCMF on Saturday afternoon. They even had a special wedding crasher, country singer Brett Young, who’s the couple’s favorite country singer. Young performed at CCMF on Saturday night.

The Gallettos shared their first dance on stage at CCMF, where they say they’ll keep celebrating an early honeymoon and many years to come.

“We came here down here first time last year and we fell in love with the festival,” Brian Galletto said. “Why not have (the wedding) here? Because every time we come here, it’s going to be an anniversary. So this is awesome.”

Sunday is the last day of CCMF, with the Zac Brown Band closing out the festival.
