A woman died after being struck by a vehicle.
Horry County Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden says 38-year-old Rikkel Collins, of Surfside Beach, died from injuries she sustained after being hit by a vehicle.
The crash happened around 2:20 a.m. on Sunday on Highway 17 Bypass near Deerfield Links Drive in Myrtle Beach, according to McSpadden. The crash was not immediately reported and Collins’ body was discovered by police officers on Monday morning.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
