Coroner identifies pedestrian hit and killed in Horry County

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – One person is dead after being hit by a vehicle early Tuesday morning. 

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol it happened at the intersection of Holmestown Road and Blue Jay Drive around 3 a.m.

A pickup truck was headed east on Holmestown Road when they hit a person crossing the road. That person died from their injuries. 

Coroner Robert Edge identified the man who died as Marcus Herbert Rhinehart, 34. 

Edge said Rhinehart had a Loris address, but is believed to have been living in the Holmestown Rd. area.
