CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – A vehicle crash in the Conway area early Sunday morning killed the driver and injured the passenger, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Cpl. Sonny Collins says a 2011 Ford van was traveling west on SC 410 around 4:45 a.m. Sunday morning when the driver ran the vehicle off the side of the road and flipped. The driver was killed in the crash and the sole passenger in the van was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris G Fowler identifies the victim as 21-year-old Reginald Brown, of Conway. The victim died from multiple trauma at the scene, the coroner confirms.
Neither the driver nor the passenger was wearing a seatbelt. South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
