Seventh District Congressman Tom Rice helped evacuees on Monday by handing out supplies at a Conway shelter.
He and Walmart partnered to give out supplies to people who currently stay in shelters.
Rice visited the shelter at Whittemore Park Middle School in Conway to hand out the supplies.
Walmart and the congressman split the cost of the supplies and they gave people air mattresses, water bottles, diapers, and other necessities.
“I’ve been traveling throughout the counties and seeing people in need, and I called Walmart, actually before the wind stopped blowing, and I asked them if they would be interested in matching a contribution that I might make, and they said that they would,” Rice said.
